KEEPING RECORDS IN BROILERS
Keeping records will help you keep track of your performance, in terms of how you are conducting your management and help you also keep track of your birds performance, be it a layer or broiler.
Broiler production is epitomized on the premise that you grow birds for meat production fast within a shortest period of time – between 4 – 6 weeks. In order to achieve this, there has to be strick adherence to a set out regime of activities and standard. Some of these standards include;
Weekly weights
Mortality
Feed intake or consumption (FCR-Feed consumption ratio).
All medications given has to be documented.
